Voice-to-logbook for NZ apprentices

Apprentice Log ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web service.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). This information is used solely for authentication purposes.
We store the logbook entries you create, including voice transcripts, task descriptions, hours worked, tools used, skills practiced, and any notes or safety observations you add.
When you use the voice recording feature, your audio is temporarily processed to convert speech to text. We do not permanently store audio recordings. The audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and is subject to OpenAI's data usage policies.

We retain your logbook entries for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual entries at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Apprentice Log is intended for use by apprentices aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
